Victoria "Vickie" Cafiero, 78, passed away on January 12, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she was the heart of her family and a source of warmth to all who knew her.
Known for her kindness and unwavering support, Vickie made everyone feel valued. She cherished her family above all and was a proud volunteer at Ascension Catholic Schools, where she was lovingly known as the "Kool Pop Mom."
Born in Donaldsonville and raised in Belle Rose, Louisiana, Vickie carried her roots and values throughout her life. She married the love of her life, Lee H. Cafiero Jr., on September 10, 1966, celebrating nearly 60 years together.
Vickie loved time spent with family and friends—whether at home, at camp, playing cards, or staying connected online. After moving to Houston, she treasured being close to her daughters and granddaughter. She was deeply proud of her girls, Kara and Leah; her son-in-law Benjamin, whom she loved as a son; and her beloved granddaughter Kaylin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil Dominique Landry Sr. and Marguerite Dupré Landry; her in-laws, Lee Herman Cafiero Sr. and Fannie Casso Cafiero; and her brother-in-law, Mike Pizzolatto Sr.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Lee; her daughters, Kara Parker (Benjamin) and Leah Cafiero; her granddaughter, Kaylin Parker; her brothers, Neil Jr. (Elmira), Jim (Sally), and Danny (Brigette) Landry; her sister, Joy Pizzolatto; her sister-in-law, Becky (Jay); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
