Vikki Viola Castillo, aged 73, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT. Born on March 30, 1952, Vikki was a cherished figure known for her exceptional culinary skills, meticulous attention to her appearance, and her deep devotion to family. Her home was often filled with the sounds of oldies music, laughter from card games, and the warmth of family gatherings.
Vikki is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Alires; her four children, John Martinez, Charlene Rodriquez, Cerina Gutierrez Midkirk (Ricky Midkirk), and Fidencio Ulibarri; five sisters, Linda Alires Vigil, Susie Alires, Nancy Alires, Barbara Alires, and Lisa Alires; 31 grandchildren; and over 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Fidencio Alires, her brother, Jessie Alires, and other cherished family members.
Throughout her life, Vikki was passionate about her hobbies, which included cooking, maintaining her fine creased clothing, camping, listening to oldies, playing cards, and doing hair. Her dedication to her family was evident in everything she did, always ensuring they were well cared for and loved.
A service to honor Vikki's life will be held on December 13 from 3-6 pm at 1490 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Parking on street. Her life's impact and memory will continue to resonate through her extensive family and all who knew her.
