Virginia Lee "Ginny" Bullard (née Hammons), of Winterport, Maine, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She was 79 years old.
Born on June 19, 1946, in Belfast, Maine, Ginny was the daughter of Hazel and Robert Hammons. She grew up in Maine alongside her siblings .
Ginny is lovingly remembered by her sister, Vicki Heller; her brothers, Robert Hammons and Steve Hammons; her sons, Mike Bullard and James Bullard; her daughter, Sonja Evans; and her cherished grandchildren—Matt Bullard, Michael Bullard, and Jessica Evans. Her parents, Hazel and Robert Hammons, preceded her in death. Ginny found joy in painting during her spare time.
Faith played an important role in Ginny's life. She enjoyed attending church and was an active parishioner at Beacon of Hope on the Hill whenever she could be present. Her connection to her faith community brought her comfort and fellowship over the years.
A celebration of life( Pastor Laurie Hall officiating it ) will be held to honor Ginny's life. For those unable to attend in person, a celebration of life will also take place in Connecticut at a later date.
