Virginia Cobb (née Cunningham), aged 83, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Newark, New Jersey. Born on August 18, 1942, in Fairfield, Alabama. Virginia was a beacon of hard work in her career. She raised her children with love and protection.
Virginia completed her education in Newark, attending St. Mary's Primary School followed by Weequahic High School. Her career spanned several notable companies including Western Electric, Lockheed Martin, and AT&T.
Virginia had a passion for cooking and an enduring love for oldies music, which brought joy not only to her but also to those around her.
Virginia was a cherished mother, grand and great grandmother survived by her children, Richard, Stephanie, and Steven Cobb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Cobb, her daughter, Robin E. Robinson, her mother, Lena Bell Miller, her sister, Ethel Vincen, and her brothers, Rudolph and Matthew Spencer.
The family will be assisted by Perry Funeral Home in Newark, NJ, as they mourn the loss and celebrate the rich, loving life Virginia led. She fought a hard battle at the end and God called her Home. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
