Vito Rocco Pace

Vito Rocco Pace, age 96, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Clarence, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on December 11, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1929, in Rochester, New York, to the late Angela and Frank Pace.

He's preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy. He is survived by his three daughters, Frances Pace of Fort Myers, FL, Barbara (Gary) Thomas of Fort Myers, FL, Carol (Luther) Townsend of Clarence, NY, and his grandchildren, Benjamin Townsend, Jacob (Kristen) Townsend, Louie Koconis, and Lauren Thomas. He was very proud of his 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Palazzo and Lucy Breitung-Fagan, both of Fort Myers, FL, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Vito was a graduate of the State University of NY at Oswego, where he also was a professor for several years after graduation. This is where he met the love of his life, Nancy Fontana, married in 1955, and had 3 daughters. During this time, he was also a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserves. He continued his career at Buffalo State College and he achieved his Doctor of Education (Ed.D) as a professor in the Industrial Arts Department. He retired and began a second career as the founder and president of National Education Consultants, where he developed training programs for large corporations.

Among Vito's many roles in life along the way, Vito was a Eucharistic Minister and President of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Peace Church in Clarence, NY, President of his HOA in Fort Myers, FL, and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers, FL. Vito enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening, loved his golden retrievers, and time with his family.

Vito leaves a legacy of love and caring for our mother, Nancy, who battled MS most of her adult life. He leveraged his love of technology to make her life as smooth as possible.
