Vivien Lavinia Clark, 81, of Katy, Texas, passed away on November 29, 2025.
Born on May 2, 1944, in Slough, England, Vivien lived a vibrant life filled with love, adventure, and devotion to family.
On March 30, 1968, she married the love of her life, Brian Clark, beginning a partnership that would span more than five decades and inspire everyone who witnessed their bond. Together, they traveled the world and lived in many places, settling in Katy, Texas, where they built a warm and welcoming life.
Vivien loved her family fiercely and poured her energy into creating a home full of joy, comfort, and connection. She cherished her garden, delighted in her children and grandchildren, enjoyed playing games, and took great pleasure in hosting friends. Vivien loved staying active. She played plenty of tennis when she was young, and even later in life, she was never the last one picked when her grandchildren chose teams for beach volleyball. She loved to dance, and her voice could brighten any room.
Vivien is survived by her devoted husband, Brian; her sons, Jason (Sally) and Elliot (Kristen); her beloved grandchildren, Colin, Katelyn, Jackson, Lauren, and Catherine; her stepmother, Sandra; and her siblings, Karen, Tania, and Clifford. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur, and her mother, Ellen.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. on December 21, 2025, at Schmidt Funeral Home, 1344 W. Grand Parkway South, Katy, Texas 77494.
In lieu of plants or flowers, donations may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association in Vivien's honor.
Vivien's warmth, her laughter, and the profound love she shared with her family will be deeply missed. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
