Wadie Mae Martin

Wadie Mae Martin, 86, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away on April 12, 2026, with family by her side.

She was born on March 25, 1940, in Bernice, Louisiana, to Lora and Sanford Wall. She was one of nine children.

Wadie married Garth “Jeep” Martin on August 6, 1959, and they shared 63 years of marriage until his passing in 2022. Following his retirement, Wadie and Jeep made their home in Greenbrier, Arkansas, where they lived for 18 years and were members of Highway 65 Church of Christ before returning to Pine Bluff in 2020.

She was a member of Highway 79 Church of Christ in Pine Bluff at the time of her passing.

Wadie loved hosting Razorback parties, cooking, and attending bluegrass music festivals. She managed Mademoiselle Dress Shop in Pine Bluff for many years. She loved the Lord most of all and faithfully attended worship services, which in her later years was an encouragement to many others.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Martin of Pine Bluff; her granddaughter, Jessica Cowart (Paul) of Pine Bluff; her brothers, Ferrell Wall (Sue), Lynn Wall (Janet), and Mark Wall; her sister-in-law, Pat Wall; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garth “Jeep” Martin; her parents, Lora and Sanford Wall; and five siblings.

Wadie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but our hearts can rejoice in knowing she is singing with the angels in her heavenly home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Highway 79 South Church of Christ, 4341 S. Camden Rd. Pine Bluff, Ar 71603
