Wallace Bostelmann

1933 - 2026

Pastor Wallace Lee Roy "Wally" Bostelmann, 93, of Holly Springs, Mississippi, formerly of Moscow, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Born on January 15, 1933, in Chester, Nebraska, Pastor Wally was the youngest of six children. He often reflected fondly on his childhood and the joy he found in attending church, saying he "got to go to church" rather than "had to go to church." This perspective shaped a lifetime of joyful service and unwavering faith. In a published reflection on his ministry, he wrote, "I've been so blessed. I've had a full life and learned that I can spread God's word at any age and in many different ways." True to this conviction, Pastor Wally continued preaching and serving well into his nineties.

For 26 years, Pastor Wally made his home in Moscow, Tennessee, before moving to Holly Springs seven years ago. His ministry touched countless lives across congregations and communities over the decades. Known for his gentle humor and steadfast faith, he believed that every day presented a new opportunity to share God's love. His legacy is one of compassion and dedication to spreading the word of God.

Pastor Wally is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Jackie Bostelman, who faithfully supported him throughout their life together and in his ministry. He also leaves behind six children: Orlyn and Sara Kay Bostelman; Wendall Bostelmann; Tammy and Matt Meinel; Heidi and John Sever; Keri and Kirk Dupré; and Stacy and Sam Benton. He was a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

A memorial service will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church Gymnasium, 507 New Byhalia Rd on 04/18/26. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. Food and fellowship will take place immediately after the service as family and friends gather to honor a life lived with purpose, gratitude, and deep faith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Family Violence of Collierville or to a church of your choice.

Pastor Wally's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him as a man of faith who dedicated his life to serving others with kindness and humility. May his legacy continue to inspire all who were touched by his ministry.
