Walter Monroe Crawford of Enfield, CT, Born on September 9, 1940, aged 85, passed away on April 3, 2026, in Hartford, CT surrounded by his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lois Crawford; daughters, Kim Crawford, Serena Crawford, Lori Barringer, and Christine Grieco; son-in-law, Joseph Grieco; and grandson, Noah Grieco. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Kate Osteen, several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, AJ Crawford and Avie-Lou Bennett Crawford; brother, Harold Andrew Crawford; and his eldest daughter, Sabra Crawford-Welch, along with his beloved pets, Mason and Missy. Walter dedicated over two decades of his life to serving in the Air Force National Guard, a commitment that illustrated his patriotism and duty to his country. During his military service, he began a career as a Marketing Director for several different convenience stores nationwide.
Walter was a man who found solace in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing or hunting. His love for animals was evident in the joy he took from his time with many pets throughout his life.
Services honoring Walter will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
