Wanda May Hinkley, aged 69, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan. Born in Tawas City, Michigan, on November 26, 1956, to John and Reatha Hinkley, Wanda grew into a kind and loving presence cherished by all who knew her.
Wanda graduated from Tawas City High School and pursued a successful career as a real estate agent and tax professional. Her professionalism and integrity made her a respected figure in her field. Beyond her career, Wanda was passionate about gardening, cooking and baking, often sharing the fruits of her labors with friends and family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
She is survived by her loving partner, Jerry Hemming; daughters, Allison (Terry) Stiles, Audra Meagher, and Adrienne Meagher; grandchildren, Wyatt, Katie, and Hayden; and her brother, Wes. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Reatha (Neibert) Hinkley, and her sister, Laura Minard.
In remembrance of Wanda's life, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
A memorial is scheduled for June 6, 2026 at 10:30am at Connection Church,
3855 S Sheldon Rd, Canton Township, MI 48188. A luncheon shall follow.
Wanda's legacy of warmth, generosity, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her compassionate spirit.
