It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wanda 'Gail' Pack on 3/14/26 of Lakeland FL. She was born in Berwind WV on 7/7/38 to Walter Wade and Harriet Yates. She was the only girl in the family with five loving brothers. (Wade, Wiley, Cecil, Harold (Tic) and Daniel Ray). Wanda moved to Alexandria VA in 1956 and was a long-time member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church. Wanda married Harold Pack on 2/25/56 and they had five children: Robin Dalpezzo (Mike), Randy (wife Robin}, Kathy Cole (Nick), Sharon Hughes (Mike) and Martha Boyer (Steve) plus she had a stepson, Kyle Pack (Davia). Gail was a devoted Christian her entire life and her last membership was at Grace Baptist Church in Woodbridge VA. Gail will be remembered by her extensive family including 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Gail was known as 'Nana' to most of her family. When Gail wasn't busy raising her five children, she worked for the federal government in Alexandria and as a legal secretary in Fairfax, VA and then later in Daytona Florida. Her husband Harold passed away in 9/2010 and then she lived in Manassas, VA with her daughter Sharon for 12 years. In 2022, she moved to Lakeland Florida with her daughter Kathy. Nana was always the biggest cheerleader for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday or a graduation and sent a card no matter where her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren moved to. She always kept her address book up to date. Gail was known as a great cook, fabulous baker, excellent seamstress and crocheter, avid reader and had beautiful penmanship. She also played the piano and taught Sunday School at Sunset Hills Baptist Church. Please join the family in a Celebration of Life on May 30th, 2026, at 2:00 which will include a memorial service and a reception.
