In Loving Memory of Wanda Rollins.
Wanda Rollins, 91, of Norwich, Connecticut, passed away peacefully into the arms of God on November 25, 2025.
Wanda was born in Selma, California on September 14, 1934, to Ollie and Marie Greer. After graduating from high school, Wanda moved to San Jose, California where she worked as a secretary. It is there that she met the love of her life, Robert (“Lee”) Rollins, with whom she spent many happy years of marriage – first living in California and then later in the Seattle, Washington area and the suburbs of Chicago. Wanda was a devoted mother to her three children whom she loved beyond measure, was a proud grandmother to Luke Rollins, and was a devoted mother-in-law to Mariano and Colleen whom she treasured. Later in life, after the passing of Lee Rollins, Wanda moved to Connecticut where she lived for over 21 years and had many friends. Wanda was an active member of the Bloomfield Congregational Church and will be remembered for her kind spirit and deep faith. Wanda was always eager to help others and was always quick to provide words of encouragement and prayers for friends and family. She also shared her love of cooking and baking with her sons as well as sharing (and demonstrating by example) her deep and sincere Christian faith. Our memories of Wanda are truly a blessing to us now as we remember all of the ways she shared her love, zest for life and strong faith.
Wanda is survived by her children Michael (Colleen) Rollins, Matthew (Mariano) Rollins, and Cindy (Gordon) Laird, by her beloved sister Joyce (Lee) Cason, as well as her niece/nephews (and their families) with whom Wanda took great joy in corresponding with over Facebook. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Robert (“Lee”) Rollins and brother Harold Greer.
The sacred burial of Wanda’s ashes and celebration of life will be held at Bloomfield Congregational Church in late July or early August 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Blomfield Congregational Church. Giving is available online at: https://www.mybloomfield.church/give/
