WARREN ALLEN BRYANT
July 3, 1935 - October 24, 2025
Warren Bryant was an extraordinary human, brilliant lifelong musician, and hard-working pool service technician who passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 90.
Warren is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lori Bryant; his daughter, Mara Bryant; his grandchildren, Alexander Guerre and Chloe Guerre; his brother, Rodger Bryant and wife, Yvonne; his nephews and their children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Lynette Renee Bryant.
Warren was born in Pasadena, California on July 3, 1935, to Charles and Evangeline Bryant. After graduating from high school and attending some community college, Warren enlisted in the Army from which he was honorably discharged after two years of service. Warren was in the Army band, and he continued his music pursuits after the Army. Although Warren briefly played the clarinet, it was hand drumming that spoke to his soul. He became a master percussionist who was praised for energizing audiences with his dynamic performances. He led his bands on three USO tours, and toured nationally and internationally, collaborating with renowned artists such as Donna Summer, John Mayall, Thelma Houston, The Fifth Dimension, Captain and Tenille, and Gabor Zabo.
Following Warren's marriage to Lori on May 22, 1982, he chose to perform with local bands in Los Angeles and San Diego and subsequently pursued a position as a pool service technician to ensure a stable and reliable source of employment. He became an expert in this field, and his customers loved him.
Warren enjoyed relationships with his immediate and extended families. He was known for his embracing heart, his interest in others, and his generous spirit. He frequently sought opportunities to give back to his community whether it be volunteering to deliver gifts to housebound seniors, helping neighboring towns with flood and/or fire cleanup, or mentoring college music students.
Warren was a gifted storyteller who often colored his stories with spicy humor. At Bryant family gatherings, he and his brother, Rodger, regaled us with hilarious stories from their youth. Warren will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his beautiful spirit will live on.
Warren donated his body to Research for Life, and his cremains will reside with Lori for now. Most of you who knew Warren are aware that he was a private man who did not want a lot of fuss. Acts of kindness to others would be his wish for those who want to honor and celebrate his life.
