Warren William Dedrick, 75, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Boca Raton, Florida. Born on May 2, 1950, in Vallejo, California. Warren was a resident of Fairfax, VA; Key West, FL; and Boca Raton, FL. Warren lived a life full of passion, determination, and love for those around him.

His athleticism and academic pursuits marked Warren's early years. He attended Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he excelled in sports as a wrestler and on the football team. His talent on the football field earned him a scholarship to the University of Virginia (UVA). He also played football and Basketball in his senior year of school. After graduating from David Glasgow Farragut High School in Rota, Spain, in 1969, Warren returned to the United States to attend UVA and play football. Standing at 6'3" and weighing 230 pounds, he transitioned from playing offensive tackle and defensive end in high school to linebacker at UVA.

In his professional life, Warren demonstrated an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit. Beginning his career at National Credit Corporation in 1979 under the mentorship of Phil Rosenthal, he quickly made his mark in the business world.
He later purchased Capital Recovery Service and transformed it into one of the leading collection agencies. Warren's passion for business led him to found and serve as CEO of multiple accounts receivable management companies, as well as CR Software. Known for his sharp mind and love for a good business deal, Warren built a legacy of success that inspired many.

Beyond his professional achievements, Warren embraced life with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the things he loved most. After catching his first Blue Marlin in Hawaii, he developed a lifelong passion for offshore big-game fishing, participating in tournaments for marlin, tuna, and sailfish. He was also an avid traveler who enjoyed world cruises, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Warren surrounded himself with loved ones who brought him joy.

Though unable to serve in the military himself due to circumstances beyond his control, Warren was a steadfast supporter of the United States military. As the son of Rear Admiral Walter Dedrick, he grew up with a profound respect for service members and took great pride in being an American. His faith as a lifelong Episcopalian was central to his life and shaped his values of kindness, generosity, and hope.

Warren is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Dedrick; his daughter Yvonne Dedrick; his grandchildren Reese and Mason Scheffer; and his sisters Katherine Dedrick and Marjorie Starling (Vice Admiral Denby Starling). He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his father, Rear Admiral Walter Dedrick; his mother, Joan Dedrick; his son, Walter E. Dedrick; and his brother, Doctor Daniel F. Dedrick.

Warren will be remembered for his positive attitude, generosity, quick wit, keen sense of humor, and unwavering resilience. Those who knew him will cherish their memories of his brilliance as a businessman and his warmth as a friend. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched.
