Warren J. Fixmer Jr.

Warren John Fixmer Jr., 76, a longtime resident of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on February 20, 2026, surrounded by loving family.

Warren was born in Aurora, Illinois, on October 15, 1949, to Warren and Jean Fixmer.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; his son, Warren J. Fixmer III, and his wife, Kathleen; granddaughters, Madeleine and Alexandra; siblings, Scott (Lisa), Nancy Holcomb (Dan), and Jon. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim.

Warren is also survived by his treasured extended family — sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, and longtime friends — all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Warren's life was defined by family, loyalty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. He was a devoted husband, a deeply proud father and father-in-law, and a loving grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than being a grandfather to Maddie and Alex, who lit up his world.

He cherished time spent with family and friends — whether at large gatherings filled with laughter, enjoyable dinners shared around the table, time on the golf course, or conversations sparked by his love of classic cars and Chicago sports. He treasured relationships and had a natural way of making people feel welcome, bringing warmth to every room with his bright smile and sense of humor. He also took great pride in mentoring others, generously sharing his time, perspective, and encouragement.

Honoring his wishes, a private celebration of life with family will be held at a future date.
