Wayne Hove, 81, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on December 15, 1944, in Grafton, North Dakota, Wayne lived a life marked by dedication to his family, friends, career, and community.

Wayne graduated from North Dakota State University and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He went on to build a successful career in the lending and banking industry throughout North Dakota. His professional life was characterized by hard work and commitment.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Wayne served his country with honor during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1973. His service exemplified his steadfast character and sense of duty.

Wayne had a passion for life that extended beyond his career and military service. He was an avid golfer who achieved the remarkable feat of two holes-in-one during his lifetime—both at Apache Wells Country Club in Mesa, Arizona. He also enjoyed spending time over the years, boating, puttering in his garage and cherished socializing with friends and family. Known for his gentle manner, sharp wit, and great sense of humor, Wayne brought joy to those around him.

Faith played an important role in Wayne’s life. He attended Apache Wells Community Church in Mesa, where he found spiritual connection and fellowship.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kim Lindgren, and her husband, Chris, of Denver, CO; his grandson, Beckham Lindgren, of Denver, CO; and his partner, Shirley Spicer, of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by his brothers: Gary (Judy) Hove of Grafton, ND; Dean (Gail) Hove of Grand Forks, ND; and Scott (Debi) Hove of Henderson, NV. His memory lives on through his nephews, Doug, Chad, Jordan and Parker Hove and niece, Dawn Hove, and a large extended family including many cousins and a few aunts. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Hove, and his parents, Millard and Gladys Hove.

May Wayne’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28, 2026 at 10:00AM at Apache Wells Community Church 2115 N Gayridge Rd., Mesa, AZ. Please join us in sharing memories of Wayne and celebrating a life well lived.
