Wayne Oliver McKee Jr., husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he remained proud of his hometown throughout his life, including a lifelong love of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He earned his undergraduate degree from Grove City College, a master's degree from Slippery Rock University, and his Doctor of Education from the University of Cincinnati in 1981.
Wayne spent more than 30 years in dedicated service to the Hamilton County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen; his children, Wayne McKee III and Whitney Stevenson; and his three grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Pam Dumpe and Pat Barber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Sr. and Louise.
In his free time, he enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, and driving his 1966 Corvette Stingray.
A private family memorial will be held in the summer of 2026.
