Will Paul Wright

Will Paul Wright Jr., age 88, of Falfurrias, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy rooted in hard work, faith, and a deep love for the land he called home.
Born on August 15, 1937, in Falfurrias, Texas, Will Paul lived his entire life in the community that shaped him into the man so many knew and respected. A true modern-day cowboy and rancher, he dedicated his life to the land, embodying the values of resilience, humility, and quiet strength. Whether working cattle, mending fences, or sharing stories under a wide Texas sky, Will Paul represented a way of life that is both timeless and deeply cherished.
Will Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Will Paul Wright Sr. and Lela Belle Wright; his sisters, Lois Wright Wilkinson and Jonnie Wright Wilson; and his children, Dana Lee Wright and Kenneth Berry Wright.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Delia J. “DeGe” Wright, whose partnership and love were the foundation of his life. He also leaves behind his children, Will Paul Wright III “Trey” (Candy), Fawn Wright Mann (Kurt), and Phillip Wright (Elizabeth). Will’s legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a piece of his strength, spirit, and enduring values.
Will Paul will be remembered for his steady presence, his strong hands, and his generous heart. He lived simply, loved deeply, and left this world better than he found it. His life stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the ranching way of life and the importance of family, tradition, and hard work.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 28, 2026, at the Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the First Baptist Church Hall (545 West Blucher Falfurrias, Texas) at 12:30 PM.
