It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Pigott on November 24, 2025, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen; four children, Stephanie (John), Zachary (Angela), Emily (Ken) and Anna (Dehl); along with his two adored grandchildren, Juliet and Harrison.
After graduating from Morrisville High School in 1982, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy and entered the Navy's nuclear power program. He was assigned to his first nuclear submarine in 1984 and married the love of his life, Kate, in June 1985. Together, they raised four wonderful children and many cherished dogs.
Throughout his naval career, Bill was deployed all over the world, giving him an opportunity to visit many different countries and cultures. In 1992 he was stationed in Honolulu, Hawai'i, deciding to make it his permanent home when he retired from the Navy in 2004; pursuing a career at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Nuclear Engineer.
Bill was an expert scuba diver and an extremely talented guitar player. He found peace and solace in the ocean and his music. He possessed a brilliant mind, charming wit and although he was a man of few words, he had a heart overflowing with love and devotion for his family.
Bill was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. Just because he is gone, doesn't mean he is gone from the lives of those who knew and loved him dearly.
He will forever be in our hearts and minds.
A private viewing for family will be held on December 6, 2025 and a formal service will be announced at a later date.
In memory of Bill and his passion for the ocean, please consider a donation to Kuleana Coral Restoration or the Hawai'i Marine Animal Response.
