William "Bill" Roth

1960 - 2026

William T. "Bill" Roth, 65, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband to Eileen for 37 years and a loving father to Tori and Tyler. He was also an amazing Pop Pop to his “grandbuddies” Theo and Declan.

He was a loyal son to his mother, Elizabeth Roth, and caring older brother to Kimberly Reinhardt. He was predeceased by his father, H. Fred Roth, and younger brother, Fred Roth. He also had many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws that he loved deeply.

Growing up, he attended Central Bucks East High School, where he had an interest in the trumpet and a passion for automotive technology in the vocational program. Bill’s long professional career began at the young age of 17, when he was hired as a manager of his first restaurant. This would be the start of a 12 year career in the restaurant business.

He ended up leaving the restaurant business in 1987 and he began his 28 year career at Bell of Pennsylvania, that would eventually become Verizon. He started his career as a service technician, then a cable splicer, and eventually worked his way up to become an Area Manager for Contracted Services. He retired from Verizon in 2015, but unable to sit still for very long, he began a 10 year career at General Asphalt Paving as a Project Manager.

Everyone who knew Bill recognized what a hard worker he was. He never stopped until a job was complete to the high standards that he set for himself and others. He had a professional life that he was extremely proud of, but as he liked to say, he “worked hard but also played hard.” He never missed a moment to help coach his kids’ little league teams or attend every camping trip with his son's Boy Scout troop. He loved taking time off to be with his family for any event, whether it was a summer vacation or just a nice day trip to a new brewery with his cousins.

Bill was also one of the kindest people you would ever meet. Whether it was hosting events and making sure everyone had plenty to eat and drink, or going out of his way to snow-blow his neighbors’ driveways, he never hesitated to lend a hand and would help anyone at a moment’s notice.

Bill had a huge, lasting impact on everyone he met and he will be greatly missed. His family appreciates the outpouring of condolences. A Celebration of Life will be held privately, in his honor.
