William (Bill) Bycraft Jr. passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2026, leaving behind a profound sense of loss in the hearts of those who loved him. He was kind without effort and generous without expectation—someone who never met a stranger and was always ready to offer his time, his heart, and his friendship.
Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1986 to 1990. He later found his greatest joy on stage playing bass with Sabbath Unleashed. Music was a huge part of his life, and playing shows with his bandmates brought him deep happiness. He considered them family.
He is survived by his parents, Bill Sr. and Susan Bycraft; his little sister, Becky Schook; his little brother, Michael Bycraft; three half-sisters and their families; and his nieces, whom he loved deeply; He was a great-uncle, a role he cherished. He is also survived by his former wife Jacqueline Lee, with whom he remained close friends.
Words fall short of expressing the depth of this loss. Bill will be missed beyond measure.
