William J. Fletch, Jr.

1956 - 2026

William J. Fletch Jr., age 69, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 2nd, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, facing it with strength and resilience until the very end.

Bill was a true craftsman and took great pride in his work as a Master Carpenter. He had a natural ability to build, fix, and create skills that reflected not only his talent but also his character: steady, dependable, and built on a foundation of integrity. He approached life the same way he approached his work with heart, dedication, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Bill will be remembered for the homes he built and for the pride knowing each would stand as a testament to his work and his character.

One of his most notable projects was helping convert a simple calf barn into what is now the clubhouse at Pheasant Hills Golf Course, a testament to his vision and craftsmanship. In his later years, he continued to serve others as a home inspector, offering his knowledge and honesty to help guide families in their next chapter.

Outside of work, Bill found joy in the simple things. He loved riding his motorcycle, spending time outdoors, visiting with friends in Texas and sitting down for a good game of cards. Bill found freedom on the open road, taking in miles upon miles of countryside from the seat of his motorcycle. He cherished weekends up north at the cabin in Iron River; hunting, four-wheeling, and quietly observing nature. He often said he felt closest to God when he was outdoors, surrounded by the peace and beauty of the natural world. He was someone who appreciated life as it came and made the most of every moment.

Above all else, Bill will be remembered for the way he treated people. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He showed up for others without hesitation and treated everyone he met with kindness, respect, and genuine care. If you knew Bill, you knew you could count on him. Bill's legacy lives on through his family and the countless lives he touched with his generosity and heart.

He was a proud father to Jay Fletch, Jennifer (Dale) Kaufman, and Brandon (Jennifer) Fletch, and a loving grandfather to MacKenzie, Connor, Lucia, Sophia, and Brentley, and great-grandfather to Walker. Bill is preceded in death by his father, William J. Fletch Sr. and survived by his significant other, Mona Davis; his mother, Barbara Fletch; and his sisters, Denise (Cory) Cook and Linda (Tony) Rozell.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. The family invites all who knew him to attend and share favorite memories. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pheasant Hills Golf Course 1025 170th Street, Hammond, WI
