William Henry Gill, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. His life was marked by devotion — to his family, his faith, his country, and the many communities he touched with his kindness and steady presence.

Bill was married to the love of his life, Lee G. Gill, for 56 wonderful years. Together they built a family rooted in warmth, humor, and unwavering support. He was the proud father of three sons: Noel Gill and his wife Rebecca, Jason Gill and his wife Julie, and Sean Gill and his wife Alexis. Bill cherished his six grandchildren — Aiden, Torin, Sean Jr., Sarah, Beau, and Carter — who were truly the apple of his eye. Nothing brought him more joy than cheering them on at their sporting events and spoiling them every chance he got.

He is predeceased by his parents Audrey and Daniel, brother Darick, as well as his beloved aunt and uncle Emily and James Gill. He is survived by brothers Thomas and Daniel.

A man of courage and deep patriotism, Bill served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Big Red One and was awarded two Purple Hearts for his bravery and sacrifice. His service remained a defining source of pride throughout his life.

Bill grew up in Bethel and attended St. Peter’s School. He graduated from Fairfield Prep, continued his studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, and went on to earn his BS from Western Connecticut State University. He later completed his MBA at the University of Connecticut, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.

Throughout his career, Bill worked for several food brokerage companies, bringing dedication and integrity to every role he held. He most recently worked with Dannon and later Kawasho Foods USA, where he was respected for his professionalism and strong work ethic.

Faith played a central role in Bill’s life. He served St. Peter’s Church as Senior Warden for 20 years and was a devoted Lay Reader and Eucharistic Minister. Bill and Lee spent over 40 years involved with Episcopal Marriage Encounter, helping couples strengthen their relationships and forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Bill and Lee shared a love of travel, exploring many destinations on their bucket list and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Above all, Bill will be remembered for his kindness, his courage, his deep love for his family, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity and gentle spirit. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the community he served so faithfully.
