William Cleveland Kerner

William C. Kerner, born on December 9, 1965 in Marrero Louisiana, was sent to his eternal home on December 19, 2025 while in the hospital battling a recent cancer diagnosis. William was the son of Terrie Allemand Toups and the late James Robert Kerner. He was 60 years of age and resided in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. William graduated from Picayune high school and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He worked at the Golden Nugget casino and Island View Casino and enjoyed the quiet life on his property with his pond, his garden, and his best buddies - fur babies Minnie and Lucy.

William is survived by his son River Kerner, mother Terrie Toups, stepfather Teddy Toups, sister Darlyn Kerner, sister Angel Kerner, nieces Marina Brown and Oceann Lockwood, and nephew Crusoe Brown. He is also survived by his uncle Duane Rochelle (Melanie), his aunt Patty Buras (Duane), his bonus grandmother Ellen Tyler Rochelle, and many other relatives.

William was preceded in death by his grandfather Noah “Tutu” Allemand, grandmother Florence Bourgeois (James), and grandfather James “Red” Rochelle.

Those who knew William will remember him for his spontaneous smile and overwhelming laughter whenever he was around his friends and family. William will be interred at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, MS and a gathering to celebrate his life will be determined at a later date.
