William (Bill) Vincent Kutka, 65, Port Charlotte, FL formally of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025. He was born April 16, 1960 in Chicago, IL, Son of the late Vincent Charles Kutka and Dolores Albina (Lucas) Kutka. Bill had a distinguished 40+ year career in transportation and logistics, 30 years were in the railroad industry (CN, BNSF, Santa Fe and Wisconsin Great Northern Railway). He graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas – Arlington, Texas.

Bill’s passion was fishing – a longtime professional walleye tournament angler #104, a long-standing member of the Walleye Federation (TWF), a board member of National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA). Bill held a United States Coast Guard Master Captain’s license. He was also a guide in Hayward, WI where he worked extremely hard to promote the Hayward area. He loved youth fishing, doing countless podcasts, including; Fishing Has No Boundaries, Minnesota Teen Challenge, Fishing for Autism, and many veteran fishing programs and several nonprofit organizations in support of youth anglers. Bill was just starting his business in Port Charlotte, FL – Captain Bill‘s Fishing and Eco Tour Adventures.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly L Kutka. Daughter Katie Schultz – Chicago, IL, stepson Byron J Schlipp (Cassy) – Lindstrom, MN, son William Tobler (Tamara) - Bainbridge, WA. Grandchildren – Cameron and Lydia Schultz, Owen Schlipp, Maddie and Mason Flikke, Liam, Sydney, Lincoln, Lake, and Sullivan Tobler. Sister Laurie Jensen (Ken) -Antioch,IL. Special relatives, Hence Tobler (Gail) and Charles Tobler (Angela). He had many nieces and nephews.

Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, family, friends and fishing buddies.
