William Edward "Bill" Lunz, 73, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on May 10, 1952, in Irvington, New Jersey, Bill lived a life marked by intellectual brilliance, humility, and unwavering kindness.
Bill's academic journey was a testament to his dedication and passion for learning. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., followed by a Master of Arts in International Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He later completed a Master of Arts in Business at George Washington University. These accomplishments laid the foundation for his distinguished career as a business executive specializing in finance and marketing within the design and food industries.
A man of deep faith, Bill was a devout Roman Catholic who practiced his beliefs with sincerity and devotion. His faith guided him throughout his life and was reflected in his gracious demeanor and commitment to helping others.
Bill found joy in many pursuits outside of his professional life. He was an avid runner who valued physical fitness and embraced the outdoors. His love for travel took him to countless destinations, where he captured the beauty of the world through photography—a hobby that brought him immense fulfillment. A voracious reader with an insatiable curiosity, Bill also dedicated time to volunteering, giving back to the community with the same generosity that defined his character.
Above all else, Bill cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Ramsey Lunz, and their son, Devon Ramsey Lunz. His devotion to them was unwavering and deeply felt. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Carolyn Keve Lunz and William Edward Lunz Sr., whose memory he honored throughout his life.
