My husband, William (Bill) Frederick Taylor, was suddenly transported to Heaven on November 24, 2025.

Bill was born in Carbondale, PA, on June 29, 1948, the second son of Wade Eugene Taylor and Mae Isabel (Dassler) Taylor. He spent many of his early years in Bible schools where his father was attending, and later, teaching.

Bill and I, June Elaine (Swartzendruber) Taylor, met at Elim Bible Institute and married in 1969. We pastored for a few years, and it became apparent that Bill's gifting was teaching.

Our journey took us from New York to Indiana, where our son William David was born, to Wisconsin, and back to New York, where we pastored a small church in Endwell and Sharon Elizabeth was born. From there Bill joined the staff at Pinecrest Bible Training Center, the school his father, Wade Taylor, raised up in the Adirondack foothills, and where our daughter Anita Joy was born. Bill wore many different hats, teaching classes, managing the business office, and pioneering programs and activities.

We began to see what an entrepreneur he was when he dug a basement under our double wide trailer and then built a catamaran in it and learned to sail!

He regularly adventured with family and friends—boating, camping, cross-country skiing, whitewater canoeing, biking, playing tennis, ping-pong, and more. He loved playing the organ, piano, guitar, and clarinet. He found time for woodworking and earned an advanced ham radio license. He invented board games, learned to program on some of the earliest home computers, and wrote the software that automated the Pinecrest business office. He and I ended each day taking a stroll, hand in hand.

After leaving Pinecrest, Bill went back to school and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Houghton College and his Master of Business Administration degree from Syracuse University. He then took us to North Carolina and established the business and accounting team as Treasurer, Controller, and Information Systems Manager at MorningStar Ministries, where he also designed and implemented the software system to operate the ministry.

We then moved to Florida where Bill worked for Charlotte County, bought a home in a neighborhood he really enjoyed, and was able to retire. He remained active, though, biking for miles every day, strolling the Harborwalk, working in the yard and garden and on his beloved fruit trees, and was excited to be recently appointed as a board member for his community of more than 7,000 homeowners.

Wherever he was employed, he always expanded on his original responsibilities, quietly creating innovative solutions to fit the needs he saw and becoming an invaluable and beloved member of his team.

He loved to get on his computer and research anything and everything; we all knew we could ask him about any problem and he would work tirelessly to find the best solution.

He was writing a book about Tabernacles, one of his favorite Bible subjects to teach.

Despite all his interests and the demands on his time, Bill made his family his top priority. We all relied on him for everything and knew without a doubt he would drop whatever he was doing at a moment's notice to answer our calls and share his wisdom. He was our first thought whenever we had a problem, and even when we didn't heed his warnings and his predictions inevitably came to pass, we still knew we could call on him, and he would never say "I told you so."

We never sat down to a family gathering without first pausing for him to take several pictures to commemorate even the smallest occasion, and the evening before he left, he was reminiscing and sending us photos of the family throughout the years.

Bill and I have three precious grandchildren: Eden Suzanne, Benjamin Ryan, and Samuel Cavan, all brilliant, and pursuing their unique scrolls written in Heaven.

Bill is survived by his wife, June, all his children and grandchildren, his nephews and nieces, as well as his sisters, Nancy and Joanne, and his sister-in-law, Helen, who will miss him too. His older brother, Ronald, was there to greet him in Heaven.

Bill would have liked contributions to be made to our dear friend, Patricia Capwell, from our church in Endwell, NY. She has built an amazing ministry in the Philippines called Hallel Integrated Ministries (https://hallel-integrated-ministry.com). Contributions can be made by wire transfer:
