WILMER BORNEMAN, age 88, recently of Honeybrook, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 25 2025 after a short illness. He was the husband of Janet (Stanton) Borneman with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Born on January 17, 1937, he was the eldest son of the late Wilmer H and Mabel (Hallman) Borneman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Michele and her husband David Biehl, his son Michael and his wife Linda, his daughter Melissa and her husband James Partridge and his daughter Marianne. He is survived by his brother Richard and his wife Carol, his sister Kathy and her husband Roger Spear and his sister Nancy. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilmer started his career at A & P Markets, but found his true calling at the former WBYO in Boyertown, PA. He was chief engineer as well as in sales while there. He was instrumental in WBYO's on site remote broadcasts. He outfitted the green WBYO station on wheels and was a fixture at various locations throughout their listening area. Wilmer and his son would travel to their remote broadcasts interviewing and enjoying all sorts of regional food at the remote broadcasts.
He was also a house flipper long before it was in style. In the early years, he and his family would live in the houses that he would fix up and then sell. His crowning achievement in his house flipping was the house that they purchased in Narvon, PA. His visions of what properties could become was generally only something he could see, and his family went along for the ride.
After living in Narvon for a few years, he found his way back to Boyertown, PA where he enjoyed tinkering in his basement wood shop. He built quite a few projects for family members that will be enjoyed for years to come. He and Janet recently moved to Honeybrook PA.
Burial will be private.
