Winston Winfield Giles

Winston Giles confidently entered into the everlasting life that was waiting for him on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was 85. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Giles, his children Craig Giles (Erica), Tara Farmer (Phil), Brad Giles (Shelley) Brent Howell (Emily) and Brandon Giles (Mikala), ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and his sister Sandra Crist (Lance). He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

God blessed Winston with a generous spirit. He gave often but quietly, never seeking acknowledgment. When he gave, he wanted to make sure that God was given all the credit.

He was blessed with occupations that led him to interact with people, which was his greatest joy.

He was given a sharp mind and a sense of humor that he used to bring joy to everyone around him. His family and friends knew he would have a joke for every subject and he could tell them in a way that meant it didn’t matter how many times you had heard it before, and he loved nothing more than making his loved ones laugh.

He was given a deep sense of loyalty to the people he loved. His family knows that he was the kind of person who made sure everyone was provided for and was always ready with a second chance even when he was disappointed.

His advice today for the ones who love him would be “Stop. Look up, not at me. See what God is capable of. None of us are perfect people with perfect lives. Look up when life gets scary. God is still here. God is in control. See if you can find ways that He has made your journey blessed, and let all the thanks and glory go to Him.”

We will treasure him forever and strive to follow the example God used him to set.
