Yolanda Pall Szakacs

Yolanda Pall Szakacs, age 84, of Oakdale, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on November 8, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Steve Szakacs, and the loving mother of Michael (Kati) Szakacs and Susan (Mason) Donnel. She was the proud grandmother of Roxanne Ujhelyi-Szakacs and Ian Donnel and loving Aunt of Elizabeth Pall.


Born in Hrusov, Czechoslovakia, Yolanda moved to the United States at age 15 and raised her family in Fairfield, Connecticut. She was the sister of the late Julius Pall, and cousin of Stephen Pall and Elizabeth Markley.


Yolanda graduated from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and earned an associate's degree from the University of Bridgeport. She retired as an Executive Secretary from the University of Bridgeport, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and professionalism.


She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and love for her family and friends.

A burial service will be held on December 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33467. Please arrive 15 minutes early to line up in the designated lane.
