Yvonne Elizabeth "Sugie" Beadle (née Bradley), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. She was 83 years old.
Born on December 24, 1942, in Liberal, Kansas, to Earl and Adah Bradley, Elizabeth grew up with a deep appreciation for family and tradition. She pursued her passion for education at Southern Illinois University, earning a bachelor's degree in education. This foundation led to a fulfilling career as a teacher who touched the lives of countless young students. Elizabeth taught third and first grade at Our Lady Queen of Peace Elementary School in Wichita Falls, Texas; first grade in the Norman, Oklahoma school system; and preschool in Moraga, California.
Elizabeth's life was enriched by her dedication to her family and her many interests. She was an avid reader and devoted genealogy researcher who took pride in uncovering her family's history. Her commitment to heritage extended to her active memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Elizabeth also served as Directoress of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Altar Guild in Orinda for two years—a role that reflected her kind and loving nature.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Harry E. Beadle; her daughter Katherine Beadle Wong and son-in-law Jeffery Wong; her son Edwin B. Beadle and daughter-in-law Christie Beadle; and her cherished grandchildren Janelle Wong, Michaela Wong, Jonas Beadle, and Zachary Beadle. She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Adah Bradley and her sister Jeannine Bradley Volz.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched as an educator and through the enduring bonds of her family.
May Elizabeth's memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 9, 2026 at Noon at St Stephen's Episcopal Church, 66 St. Stephen's Drive, Orinda, California. A reception at the church will follow interment in the St. Stephen's Columbarium. In lieu of flowers the family recommends a donation to the American Cancer Society
