Maurer, Zebadiah Rondahl Lynn, 21 of Boswell born April 29, 2004 was called home on January 14, 2026. Beloved son of Ron and Lori (Dugan) Maurer. Preceded in death by Grandparents Robert and Carol Maurer and Lowell and Janice Pyle, step- grandfather Raymond Dugan, and Aunt Angie Dugan. Survived by parents, Grandmother Sue Dugan, Boswell, sisters Katie Maurer, Vanderbilt, Taylor (Robbie) Brown, Meyersdale and Bethlyn Maurer, Boswell. Uncles Jody Dugan , Boswell, Paul (Lisa) Maurer, Martinsburg, WV. Mike (Cherree) Pyle, Boswell, Nieces and Nephews Brandon, Preston and Atom Baker, Eziekel, Samantha and Oliver Thompson, Torie, Hunter and LeReign Brown. Best friends: Jimmy Shaffer, Melissa and Joe Ankeny, Reid Davey, John Deist Jr., Tyler Blubaugh, Dylan Cabinaw, Breason Hollick, Brian Blubaugh, Bradley Gibbons, and Isabella Ritchey.
Also deeply missed by dogs Asher and Damascus which he called 'Fat-ass-kiss' and cat Daleson. Zeb was an avid online gamer known as Shallow_Placebo or Zeb-the-Crusader. Zeb attended North Star, Pressley Ridge and Johnstown Votech. He graduated from Diesel Mechanic in 2022 where he became a certified diesel mechanic. Zeb would have graduated this May from the Defense Program where he considered the shop teacher, Paul Pritts to be a good friend and mentor. Zeb participated in Johnstown Votech Skeet Shoot club and the North Star Rifle club. Zeb was a member of the Acosta Volunteer Fire Department and Jerome Volunteer Fire Department. In March 2025 he completed Fire Fighting Essentials which was a huge accomplishment for Zeb. Zeb was a self-taught gun smith and loved to target shoot. He had a passion for restoring lawn tractors and is best known for his John Deer with diamond plate front bumper. Zeb had just purchased a 1933 DD Sedan to restore with his friends. Zeb deeply loved his family and friends whom he was fiercely protective of. His friends took him to Michigan where he got to meet longtime online friends, K-9's. Zeb will be missed for his quick wit, gun safety, laughter, big bear hugs, genuine conversations, riding ATV's and blowing things up. Zeb was a member of Gateway Ministries , Boswell. A Celebration of Life will be held May 16 at the Jerome Fire Hall at 1:00PM. Pastor Randy McKenzie will officiate the service. Miller's Funeral Home handled the cremation.
