Ronald Wearne

WEARNE Ronald (Ron) Seymour Born October 4, 1926 in Cornwall England, Ron spent 30 years in the British Army, then immigrated to Canada in 1980 and became active in the Provincial Colour Guard. Years after doctors first called him ÃThe Miracle ManÄ, Ron left us on December 6, 2007 at 81 years of age. He leaves behind his beloved wife Ruth, brother Melvyn, sons Eric (Jane), Brynly (Joyce), Michael, Glenn, and stepdaughters Denise and Diane, 8 grandchildren and 3 step-granddaughters. Of his many nieces and nephews in England, Ron was particularly close to David (Carol) Lawrence. We'd like to recognize the comfort and support of Reverend Rick Taylor and the entire congregation of Steveston United Church, and the support and professionalism of Dr's JJ Kliman, Andrew Jakubowski, and Michael Frimer, the entire staff of Richmond General ICU and very special thanks to Tanya for everything. At Ron's request there will be no service; a small gathering of friends will take place on Sunday, January 27th from 1-3 pm at Army Navy & Air Force Veterans Unit 284. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
