Maria, I was deeply saddened to read that Gene passed away earlier this year. I have such pleasant memories of our time together in Laramie when we were part of the Army ROTC cadre. His youthful enthusiasm and sense of humor always made me smile. All my best to your boys Tony and Michael. They were lucky to have a father of Gene's caliber. I look forward to seeing him again when I make my final PCS. Take care!

carolyn and I send our condolences to the entire Warnock family. Gene was best man at our wedding, my freshman at Wyoming roommate, and long time team mate on the line at Riverton High. I think of him often with nothing but fond memories.

Gene was truly special to us all and a blessing in our lives. I am so sorry that we could not be there for the funeral. We are deeply going to miss such a wonderful person who always put a smile on our faces and made us laugh. I told Reese that Mr. Gene is now fishing everyday! We send our love and prayers. Dear Maria, Tony and Michael: Please accept my deepest condolences to you with the passing of your dear husband and father. Serving under his command at Lawson Army Airfield as an aviator and department chief, I knew Gene as an outstanding leader and the utmost professional pilot. I will cherish the friendship that we maintained in the years following Benning, mostly through emails and Christmas greetings, exchanging family news and post-Army career adventures. His passing saddens and stuns, and I am so very sorry for your loss. May God bless you and comfort you.
