Mary J. Miles

MILES, Mary J., age 65 of West Branch, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mary moved back to West Branch in 1995, formerly of Oxford. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the CCW, St. Ann's Guild. She retired from General Motors in 1997 after 19 years of service. Mary enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. Her greatest joy was her family, in particular her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband Albert Miles of West Branch, children; Larry (Cheryl) Miles and Terry (Janette) Miles both of West Branch and Albert (Christy) Miles Jr. of Farwell, her grandchildren; Nolan, Chelsea, Shayne, Kyle, Kaylyn, Aleese, Travis and Brandi and her great-grandchildren, Aniston and Hadley. Also surviving is her sister, Betty Rau and her brothers, Ronald Schmitt and Jerry Schmitt all of West Branch. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean Schmitt and Bob Schmitt, her sisters, Aleen DeRoso and Alice Bragg and her parents, John and Ethel Schmitt. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, April 29, 2011, Mary will lie in state at the Holy Family Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
