Sherie Lynn

Lynn, Sherie L. Age 62, of Portage, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Sherie had been a lifelong Portage resident and graduated from Portage High School in 1967. She was a member of Portage American Legion #260 Ladies Auxiliary, Portage VFW #7760 Ladies Auxiliary and 8-40. Sherie was self-employed as a trucking agent and was very involved with the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Portage. She is survived by her husband, Larry Lynn, son, Dennis (Kathy) Dalka of Portage, daughter, Tamara Ross with the US Air Force in Okinawa, Japan, mother, Virginia Hunt of Valparaiso, brother, Keith Hunt of Valparaiso, sister, Dorean (David) Bogdanich of Valparaiso, step-children: Tammy (Randy) Westmoreland of Valparaiso, Jennifer (Ryan) Dandy of Las Vegas, NV, Larry (Michelle) Lynn of Portage and Eric (Elena) Lynn of Valparaiso, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her father, Arthur Hunt, preceded her in death. Memorials are preferred to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary to be used for the Indiana Veterans Home. Funeral services for Sherie will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 2637 McCool Rd., Portage, with Rev. Dennis Ticen officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage. She will be taken to Church Wednesday morning at 10 am.
