ELMER, Betty J. - Of Flint, age 67, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Betty was born in Flint on May 28, 1944, daughter of William and Winifred (Olds) Trevithick. She enjoyed driving and going for rides in the car and also enjoyed taking pictures, shopping and watching and feeding the kitties in the backyard. Betty enjoyed playing pool in her younger days with her husband. She was employed with and retired from the City of Flint. Betty was a great person and will be deeply missed. Surviving are nieces, Amy (Matt) Davis and their son, Mason, Lisa (Larry) Hart and their children, Zach, Josh and Kyle; cousins, Jerry Lugg and Jean Lanctot; helpful cousin, Ruth; sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Donna Francisco; and many other friends and family.
