Age 80, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his home. He was born May 23, 1932 in Brazil, IN, the son of the late Gustave and Louella (Church) Stievenart. He attended and graduated from Beecher High School , Flint, MI. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was employed as a truck driver by General Motors for 33 years. Joseph married the former Doris Wheeler on March 31, 1956 in Angola IN, and the couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 2012. He was a member of VFW Post #3416 of Wappapello, MO and UAW #659. He enjoyed shooting, hunting, golfing and going to the casino. He is survived by his wife, Doris; Daughter, Cindy Stievenart of Gaastra; Sons, Joseph (Susan) Stievenart Jr. of Fisk, MO, David Stievenart of Stambaugh; and Mark Stievenart of Bullhead City, AZ; Sister, Mary (Lymon) Green of Swartz Creek, MI; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
