Everett Duane Finch

Age 86, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was born January 12, 1926 in Jerome MI, the son of Samuel and Neva (Rutan) Finch. Everett was a graduate of Jackson High School. During his lifetime he spent 23 years as a distributer for the Sinclair Oil Company, 10 years with the City of Jackson Road Commission and was then a self employed crafter. Everett was a distinguished member of the Jackson Lions Club with the honor of serving as president and maintained a 23 year perfect attendance record. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and was a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. He touched our lives and our hearts with his honesty, sense of humor and unconditional love. He lives on in every person who had the privilege to know him. His morals, lessons and wisdom will continue to be the foundation of our family. Everett is survived by his wife of 48 years Evelyn (Beebe), children Michael Finch of Jackson, MI, Kimberly (Terry) Gattshall of Jackson, MI, Coleen (Dan) Steere of Portsmouth VA, Kevin (Cindy) Finch of Negaunee MI, Carrie (Jeffrey) Mack of Jackson, MI, and Cathy (Michael) Haydo of Rives Junction, MI. He was also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Maiden, his daughter Patricia Holland, and his son Kirk Finch. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at Calvary United Methodist Church 925 Backus Street, Jackson, MI 49202.
