Mary Rau Obituary
Mary Irene Rau, of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Mary Irene was born April 11, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theophile and Josephine (Dagenais) Cloutier. She and Eugene Rau were united in marriage in June of 1947. Mary Irene was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Left to cherish her memory are six children, Elaine and husband, Arthur Whitmore, Harry Rau, Ken and wife, Rose Rau, Dennis Rau, Christopher Rau, and Anthony and wife, Jackie Rau; 10 grandchildren;
9 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond and wife, Mabel Cloutier; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; four brothers and one sister. Friends may share a memory with the family at
