Edna "Pauline" Johnston, of Swartz Creek, age 89, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Todd Regester officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, she would like donations to go to Hill Road Baptist Church. Visitation 12-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pauline was born on August 1, 1923 in Gilette, Arkansas to Cloa (Kem) and George Bennett. She graduated from Risco High School in Risco, MO. She had been a long
time member of Hill Road Baptist Church. Pauline enjoyed woodcarving, crafts, gardening, and especially traveling. Pauline retired from GM after 30 years of service. Surviving are sisters, Fayetta Roberts and Carolyn Abernathy; also leaving behind many nieces and nephew; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie Johnston; her Mom and Dad, Cloa (Kem) and George Bennett; sister, Lorene; two brothers, Thomas and Luther.
