Erma Yanta Obituary
Erma Elaine Yanta, age 80, of Otisville, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Genesys Health Park, Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, March 15, 2013
at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 212 Center, Otisville. Sister Elaine LaBell celebrant. Visitation will be held 10AM Friday until time of mass at the church. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Mrs. Yanta was born June 20, 1932 in St. Charles, MI, the daughter of the late Ivan and Grace (Seely) Brown. She married Theodore J. Ted Yanta, in Saginaw on December 2, 1950.
Erma loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, she liked square dancing and designing floral arrangements for weddings. Surviving are; Husband, Ted of 62 years; children, Paula Yanta of Tawas, Robert (Kim) Yanta of Otisville, Carol (David) Campbell of FL, Vickie Smith of Burton; grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Jerry, Tara, Jerrad, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Hanna, Mickailee, Shane; Step grandchild, Cody; 1 brother; 5 sisters; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents and her brother, Kenneth Brown. She will be greatly missed by her husband and children. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of

It was a great loss this morning to myself and our family when she passed away. She was my life and our families greatest cheerleader in life. I can never fully express my gratitude for all the texts, phone calls and offers of help today. The hospital showed us the greatest compassion while we were trying to accept our loss.
