John Wolter Obituary
WOLTER, JOHN
John Ungemach Wolter, beloved husband of Virginia (Moen) Wolter, died peacefully at home in Ann Arbor on Sunday May 12, 2013 at the age of 92. He was retired from Wyandotte Chemicals, a division of BASF, where he was general manager (equivalent to president). A native of St. Charles, Minn., he graduated from Harvard University in 1942 with a degree in chemistry. He and Virginia married in 1944, while he was still serving in the Army in WWII. They had four children: Charlotte, in Los Angeles, Mary Glass, in Arlington, Va., and John S. and James, both in Ann Arbor. Viewing and visitation will be Saturday, May 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nie Funeral Home. Please leave a condolence for the family at www.niefuneralhomes.com.
