Edna L. Barker, of Davison, age 85, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be 1 PM Thursday, July 25, 2013
at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Edward MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, 10 AM-8 PM Wednesday and on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Oakwood Restoration Branch, 5220 Oakwood Road, Ortonville, MI 48462. Edna was born in Flint, MI on March 13, 1928, daughter of the late George and Alberta (Grandy) Lewis. She married Chester Slagor in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1953, she later married Robert Barker in 1958 and he preceded her in death
in 1978. Edna's hobbies included gardening, crocheting, knitting and canning. She loved her pets and the outdoors. Edna was quite the fisherwomen in her time. Edna is survived by her children, Sharron Ibbotson, Chester P. (Cheryl) Slagor,
Jr., James (ReeAnn) Slagor, EdnaLouise (Matthew) Dennee, Hollis (Allison) Barker; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
