Sarah Frances Jackson of Burton age 79 passed away Wednesday September 4, 2013 at McLaren-Lapeer. A funeral service will be held Friday September 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel. Rev. Joel McCrandell officiating with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5-8pm Thursday September 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contribution to the Shiners Hospital for Crippled Children. Sarah was born on May 8, 1934 in Parkin AR, and moved to Parma MO a few days later with her parents Bruce F. and Cordelia J. (Burroughs) Keith. Sarah married William "Bill" Jackson on May 4, 1955 in Angola IN and he preceded her in death June 20, 2010. She moved to Michigan in 1954 and worked as a telephone operator at Hurley Medical Center for 7 years then at the former FOH for 18 years before retiring in 1986. Sarah has been a member of the Davison Eastern Star #299 since 1992. She attended her first Professional Tigers Baseball game in October 2011 and was avid sports fan favoring the Detroit teams but cheering other teams as well. She leaves behind to cherished her memory daughter Regina & husband Dan Suomi of Olympia, WA; sons: Mark "Jako" Jackson of Burton, MI and Norman & wife Donna Wolff and family of TX; sister Wanda & husband Floyd Pope of St. Louis MO and several other relatives in MO; cousin Dorothy Hon of Emporia KS, and special friends Ed & Pat Vavra, and David Buby. She is preceded in death by her parents and Brother Bruce W. Keith in 2008. Please share your condolences at

To Sarah and Bill's kids I send my sympathy. I worked for Kroger and did weekly shopping for your parents and then just your Mom. She was always a highlight for my week. She and Bill are a team again. She's home. (HUGS)

Mark and Gina - I am sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom and I worked together for many years at FOH. I learned alot of fun sayings from her that I will never forget! lol She was a strong lady and will be sadly missed.
