Barbara Ann Gurski McWilliams, of Lebanon, Tennessee, formerly of Flint, age 46, died Sunday, October 20, 2013. Funeral service will be held 9:30am Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Russ Greenfield officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Barbara's wishes were to have contributions made to the ASPCA. Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday and 8:30am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Barbara was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 26, 1966, daughter of Theodore J. Gurski Jr. and Linda J. (Allen) Gurski. She attended the Unitarian Church in Hermitage, TN. Barbara was a Proud Veteran of the United States Army. She was a truck driver for over 20 years. Barbara enjoyed life, being a jokester and riding her motorcycle. She adored her dogs, Tasha and Bandit and always referred to them as her babies. Surviving are parents; sister, Joan Ireland and her partner Karen; sister Melanie Reno; nephew, Joseph Ireland; aunts, Linda (Denny) Griggs, Mary Higdon and Shirley Henry; uncle, Bill (Roena) Allen; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
