James Curwood Oliver

OLIVER, JAMES CURWOOD Parma James Curwood Oliver of Parma, MI passed away at Allegiance Health Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the age of 80. Mr. Oliver was the son of James H. and Mina D (Ranck) Oliver, born November 22, 1933 in Jackson, MI. Jim is survived by his wife, Carol (Boertmann) Oliver; four children, Steve (Johnna) Oliver, Mike Oliver, Mike Moore, and Tracy (Gary) Purcell; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Oliver was a Michigan State University graduate, and a United States Air Force Veteran. He owned and operated Total Hydraulic Engineering in Parma for many years. Jim was an avid trap shooter. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the WATSON FUNERAL CHAPEL Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., Reverend Dick Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cascades Humane Society 1515 Carmen Dr., Jackson, MI 49202.
