RITTER, FRANCES BERNICE

Age 92, of Flint, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Durand Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Wednesday, and 11 AM until time of the service on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to ABWA Scholarship Fund, Northeast Sunrise Charter Chapter P.O. Box 494, Oscoda MI. 48750 or a charity of one's choice. Frances was born December 30, 1920 in Flint, the daughter of Ignatius and Elizabeth (Zmuda) Mierta. She married Norman Lester Ritter October 30, 1943 in East Tawas, he preceded her in death on May 14, 1989. Frances was the Owner/Operator of Ritter's Flowers for 52 years retiring in 1995. She was a member of the ABWA (American Business Women's Association) and the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Frances has left to cherish her memory; four children, Chester Ritter and wife, Kay of Swartz Creek, Norman Ritter II and wife, Jill of Oscoda, Janet and husband, Dale Swenson of Flint Township, and Judy and husband, Richard Secord of Flushing; two grandchildren, Travis Swenson and wife, Kelly of Flushing, Jennifer Rivette and husband, Jeremiah of Lennon; great-grandchildren, Brock and Blaine Rivette, and Ryder Swenson; sister, Irene Skerjance of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; four sisters and five brothers. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of

Ritter Family, so sorry for your loss your Mom was a sweet lady, we met her thru Judy whom I worked with at CB and we loved her Flower Shop. Also know Chet & Kay thru our Street Rod events. We lost John's Mom in Aug. at age 94. We were also grateful to have our Mom as long as we did just as you have. Out thoughts and prayers are with all. John&GeorgiannaOlay

Dear Ritter Family, Sorry for your loss of your mother. Know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. I share your sorrow, I lost my mom recently too. I worked with Judy and Jill at Citizens Bank. I got to know Chet and Kay thru the street rod events we all went to. God Bless you.
