James Wieland Obituary

WIELAND, JAMES M. Jenison James M. Wieland (WA8CRV), age 85, of Jenison. After just renewing his amateur radio license, Jim got a call from God, on February 4, 2014, that it was time to come home and meet his Lord and Savior. He was reunited with his twin sister, Jane; his parents, George and Bernice Wieland; daughter-in-law, Kerry Wieland; stepson, William Christiansen. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret "Peggy"; his children, James and Kathy Wieland, Judi and Timothy Ostema, Barbara and Terry Lilley, Robert Wieland, Douglas and Marianne Wieland; stepchildren, Mary Christiansen, Alan Christiansen; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson. Jim retired from General Motors on Alpine. He was an amateur radio operator for over 50 years, a motorcyclist, and he appreciated the natural beauty of God's world. A memorial service is being planned for April. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
