Robert H. Bright

BRIGHT, ROBERT H. Saginaw, MI Passed away following a brief illness at home on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the age of 75. Robert was born April 2, 1938, in Flint, MI to the late Afton and Rosetta (Egge) Bright. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He retired from General Motors then went to work for Sunrise Enterprise. In his younger days, he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, repairing cars, and taking care of animals. He is survived by his wife and companion of 39 years, Edna (Short) Schardt; children, Brent Bright, Eric (Melissa) Bright, Richard Schardt, Keith (Teresa) Schardt; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Joanne and Alice. He was predeceased by his children David and Lori Schardt. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. James Krueger will officiate with military honors rendered by the American Legion Post #439.
